The Shibusawa Scholar Program (SSP) aims to foster true global leaders, equipped with profound awareness of economic and social issues, lofty aspirations, and passion in abundance, along with the capacity proactively to solve the problems that confront them.
Applications for the SSP are invited from students at the end of their first year in the Faculty of Commerce and Management, and around 15 applicants are selected as SSP scholars each year. Scholars who complete a prescribed number of credits in English-medium specialized courses and courses undertaken while studying abroad are awarded a certificate upon graduation.
Various SSP-related events are held throughout the year, including study abroad fairs organized by the Academic Affairs Office, orientation sessions for first-year students, and networking events hosted by current SSP students. The latest SSP updates are available here.
